The two-mile waterfront promenade makes this a strong choose-your-own-distance outing. A playground or picnic can be the whole plan, or the park can anchor a ferry day with the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island.
Liberty State Park is in Jersey City, New Jersey. Big views and open space beside Jersey City. It is particularly suited to views, walks, and picnics.
For All ages, allow 1–4 hours. Use the park map to choose parking near your planned activity. Ferry tickets and schedules are separate from park access.
